New health program starts in Tamaqua

People in and around the Tamaqua area can discover a new way to healthy living.That’s the mantra of First place 4 Health, a Christ-centered health program that emphasizes balance in the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual areas of life.The group will hold an organizational meeting at 7 tonight in Founders Hall, downstairs in Trinity UCC at the corner of Washington and Lafayette streets in Tamaqua.Tina Kensinger will lead the group.Kensinger said she has led the program in a couple of other churches in North Carolina, but that it has been over a decade since she’s done that.She noted that the program has changed some.“We are really hoping this can be a community ministry to promote healthy living,” Kensinger said.For more information, visit firstplace4health.com.— Terry Ahner
