Fifteen first-time offenders in the criminal justice system were placed in Carbon County's Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program on Tuesday by Judge Joseph J. Matika.

If a person successfully completes all condition of the program their record is wiped clean. However, if they fail to complete it, or are revoked from it, then they would face trial on all the pending charges. A person does not admit guilt in entering the program.All were placed for a year, unless otherwise noted.Nicholas Robert Acker,19, of Jim Thorpe, was place on a charge of possession of a controlled substance-oxycodone. He was arrested on Sept. 28, 2015, by Kidder Township police along Route 534.He was assessed $450 for the cost of the program and ordered to get a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow any recommendation for treatment and render 50 hours of community service.Michael Joseph Atkinson,25, of Nesquehoning, was placed on a charge of access device issued to another person and not authorized to use. He was arrested by Nesquehoning police for an incident involving Anita Straubinger and First Niagara Bank as the victims.He was assessed $450 and ordered to make restitution of $709.58 to the bank, get a drug and alcohol evaluation and render 50 hours of community service.William Edward Camenzind III,27, of Nesquehoning, was placed for two years on two separate cases. He was placed on a charge of criminal attempt-retail theft for an incident on Nov. 11, 2015, at the Walmart store in Mahoning Township. On the same date for retail theft at the store - the theft of a television.He was assessed $450 and ordered to get a drug and alcohol evaluation, zero tolerance for drug and alcohol use, render 100 hours of community service and make restitution of $668 to Walmart.Stephanie Lynn Chase,26, of Kunkletown, was placed on a charge of driving under the influence. She was arrested on June 6, 2015, by state police at Lehighton along Route 443 in Lehighton. A test showed the presence of a controlled substance.She was assessed $600, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and her license was suspended for 60 days.Andrew Bryan Cyr,31, of Albrightsville, was placed on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. He was arrested on April 25, 2015, in the parking lot of the Exxon station in Albrightsville by Kidder Township police.He was assessed $450 and ordered to get a drug and alcohol evaluation and render 50 hours of community service.Danny Domminick Doyne,46, of Minersville, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on July 4, 2015, by state police at Lehighton along Route 443 in Mahoning Township. A test showed the presence of a controlled substance.He was assessed $600, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 60 days.Glenn John Fisher,59, of Albrightsville, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on May 16, 2015, along Route 903 by Kidder Township police. A test showed the presence of a controlled substance.He was assessed $500, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 60 days.Kristina Amy Hansen,22, of Stroudsburg, was placed on a charge of DUI. She was arrested on July 6, 2015, along Route 940 by Kidder Township police. A test showed 0.11 BAC.She was assessed $500 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service and license suspended for 30 days.Robert Heath Jr.,57, of Albrightsville, was placed on a charge of DUI. He was arrested on May 2, 2015, along River Road by Kidder Township. A test showed 0.14 BAC.He was assessed $500, ordered to render 50 hour of community service and his license was suspended for 60 days.Lansana Abraham Keita,18, of Allentown, was placed on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. He was arrested on Aug. 23, 2015, following a speeding stop along Route 93 by Nesquehoning police.He was assessed $450 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service.Jenny Marie Kopp,27, of Lansford, was placed on a charge of obstruction of the administration of law. She was arrested by Lansford police on Aug. 16, 2015, at 408 Lansford Court when police said she interfered with the arrest of John Provisiero. Provisiero pleaded guilty to defiant trespass for his part in the incident.She was assessed $450 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service.Kimberly Ann Krisa,48, of Saint Clair, was placed on a charge of theft. She was arrested on July 14, 2015, by Mahoning Township police.She was assessed $650 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service and make restitution for damages in an amount to be determined by the adult probation office.Jared Michael McGuire,21, of Jim Thorpe, was placed on a charge of simple assault. He was arrested on Sept. 20, 2015, by Nesquehoning police.He was assessed $450 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service and get both a drug and alcohol and mental health evaluations.Tina Marie Norman,40, of Palmerton, was placed on a charge of retail theft. She was charged by Mahoning Township police for an incident at the Walmart store.She was assessed $450 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service and to stay out of the store.Amber Rose Sypeck,27, of Weatherly, was placed on a DUI charge. She was arrested on July 25, 2015, along Route 93 in Beaver Meadows by state police at Hazleton. A test showed 0.21 BAC.She was assessed $550, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and her license was suspended for 60 days.Each defendant must also pay court costs of about $1,000 and a $50 per month supervision fee.
