Catrina Strubinger, a 2014 Lehighton Area High School graduate, was placed on the dean's list for the fall 2015 semester at Rider University, Lawrenceville, New Jersey, with a 4.0 GPA.

She is majoring in public relations with a minor in web design. At Rider she is a member of their Division 1 cheerleading squad, treasurer of the Public Relations Student Society of America, a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society and a member of Lambda Pi Eta Honor Society of the National Communication Association.During the 2015 fall semester, Catrina served as a public relations intern with the New Jersey Health Initiative and was an intern writer with the Odyssey Online.She is the daughter of attorney Gerald and Carolyn Strubinger of Mahoning Township, the granddaughter of Caroline Chwieroth of Philadelphia and Gerald and Karen Strubinger of Jim Thorpe.
