DECMEBER 29, 1995The Panther Valley School Board hired Alfred Vito, Nesquehoning, as the district’s new manager of transportation/buildings and grounds.As manager, Vito will serve as a quasi-administrator and will receive a salary of $25,000 to oversee all bus drivers and custodians employed by the district.The board recreated the manager’s position in an attempt to bring the unionized bus drivers and custodians under stricter administrative control.A Hazleton native, Vito, 52, is currently employed by Sub-Micron, Allentown. He and his wife, Patricia, reside at 106 E. Center St., with their four children.
