State police at the Frackville barracks are investigating a burglary that happened between 5:30 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. Tuesday at a home on Locust Avenue in Mary D, Schuylkill Township.

Police said someone forced open the rear basement door to the woman's residence to gain entry to the home, and proceeded to the master bedroom on the second floor where the actor opened a small safe that was inside the bedroom closet. Police said the intruder opened the safe with a key that was found hidden nearby.The burglar removed $760, five gold bracelets and a gold coin from the scene before fleeing the premises in an unknown direction.Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police at 570-874-5300.
