Tamaqua school officials say the Tamaqua Area Senior High School was in lockdown mode for about 15 minutes this morning.

The school was closed to the public as a precaution after a female student suffered an injury and was lifted immediately after ambulance personnel left with their patient.

The lockdown did not have to do with any type of threat.
