A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Palmerton borough Tuesday evening, according to scanner reports.

Delaware Avenue was temporarily closed at Fifth Street.

Around 4:20 p.m., dispatchers said they received a report of a person struck by a vehicle in the 400 block of the avenue. The person was reportedly conscious, but in some distress.
