Route 209 is closed between Dairy Road and Frable Road in Brodheadsville because of a fatal crash.

Monroe County Coroner Bob Allen said a woman died as a result of injuries sustained in one of the wrecks.

Allen said a total of five vehicles were involved in two separate crashes.

Troopers are still on the scene of the multi-vehicle wreck.
