Observed by Donald Burkhart, West Broadway, while driving on the Lentz Trail, near Hackelbernie, at 9:15 a.m. Sunday, Clinton Krock, 37, of Bath, an escaped prisoner from the Carbon County Jail, was back in his cell today, happy for the food and warmth the bastille provides.Krock, who made his getaway Thursday after striking Frank Mandracia, a warden, spent most of his 35 hours of freedom in the woodshed of Harry Bartelt on North Street. He was apprehended by Millard Wolfe, a member of the Lehighton detail; State Motor Police; Chief of Police Edward Conley; and Sheriff Thomas James.Krock was wet and dirty when found, and very hungry, not having had food since he left the jail. He offered no resistance.
