Crews responded this morning to rescue a shooting victim from state game lands on the Blue Mountain in East Penn Township.

Members of the East Penn Fire Company went in on all-terrain vehicle in an area bordering Sand Quarry Road, off Germans Road in Andreas.

The woman was located and brought from the area on a lift to the Lehighton ambulance. She was transported to a trauma center.

Germans Road, onto Sand Quarry Road.

The woman is believed to a woman in her mid-50s.

Scanner reports indicated it was an accidental shooting. The call came in at 11 a.m.

State police at Lehighton are investigating.
