Two Lehighton residents were involved in accidental shooting early Saturday morning at Stoneybrook Campground in East Penn Township, according to state police at Lehighton.

Police did not release names but said a 42-year-old accidentally discharged a .40-caliber handgun inside a mobile trailer just before 1 a.m.

A 24-year-old victim was struck in the right leg and transported to St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem with non-life-threatening injuries.

An investigation is ongoing.
