The state Department of Health is launching its "Stopping the Flu starts with YOU" campaign, which urges Pennsylvanians to protect themselves and their loved ones against the seasonal flu by getting vaccinated and taking other preventive measures.

"Doctors are anticipating yet another severe flu season, so it's important to get vaccinated," said state Sen. John Yudichak, D-Carbon, Luzerne. "The Department of Health is giving people all across the commonwealth the opportunity to receive the flu shot free of charge."In Carbon County shots will be available Thursday and again on Dec. 10 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Carbon County State Health Center at 281 N. 12th St., lower level, Suite A in Lehighton.
