The Franklin Township Board of Supervisors passed a motion Tuesday to advertise its preliminary budget.

The 2016 budget, if passed as currently presented, would retain the same tax rate.The budget has a tax mileage rate of 7.637. That equates to cost to the taxpayer 76 cents for each $100 of assessed valuation.Garbage fees will also remain the same.The budget will be adopted at a future meeting.
