Samantha Thomas and Michael Capita exchange vows

Samantha Thomas, daughter of Gar and Kim Thomas of Lake Hauto, and Michael Capita, son of Michael and Eleanor Capita of Berwick, were united in marriage on May 16 in Bloomsburg.

Officiating the double ring ceremony was Kenneth Phillips of Brockport, New York.Given in marriage by her parents, the bride was attended by Nicole (Thomas) Dunn as maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Brandee Hart, Kaly Lutz, Courtney Rhone and Gabriella Capita.Best man honors were performed by Randy Buccat and Bryan Miller. Ushers were Justin Bohl, David Slavick, Dan Thomas and Kenneth Kershner.The newlyweds received family and friends at the The Barn at Hidden Acres in Bloomsburg, before honeymooning in Ireland.The new Mrs. Capita is a 2004 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School and a 2008 graduate of Bloomsburg University. She is currently employed as a global projects coordinator.Mr. Capita is a 1997 graduate of Berwick High School, a 2001 graduate of East Stroudsburg University and a 2010 graduate of Bloomsburg University. He is employed as an autistic support teacher in the Danville Area School District.The couple currently live in Bloomsburg.
