Crowded Kitchen Players present 'The Fall of Heaven'

Crowded Kitchen Players will present "The Fall of Heaven," a timely and comic production about social injustice, at Trinity Episcopal Fellowship Hall, 44 E. Market St., Bethlehem.

This is the first play mystery author Walter Mosley has written. The show opens Friday and runs through Nov. 15.Tempest Landry, (William Alexander Jr.) a street-wise young black man living in Harlem, unexpectedly finds himself at the Pearly Gates. When Saint Peter (David 'Oz' Oswald') orders him to hell, the quick-witted Tempest refuses to go.A technical loophole forces heaven to send Tempest back to earth with the angel Joshua (Roy Shuler) in tow to keep him out of trouble. The resulting battle of wills takes an intriguing look at good versus evil and what it means to be human. The play is directed by Ara Barlieb and stage managed by Brian McDermott.Showtimes are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 3 p.m. Sundays. For reservations, visit
