Fire companies from Trachsville in Towamensing and Aquashicola in Lower Towamensing townships responded to a field fire Tuesday afternoon along Snyders road about a mile east of Forest Inn Road. When they arrived just after 4 p.m., they found not only a field on fire but a combine as well. A unit of the Bureau of Forestry responded as well.
