Palmerton Hospital has been selected to participate in a national study that will help determine treatment for pulmonary patients.

According to Nancy Collins, director of cardiopulmonary rehabilitation at the hospital, only 18 hospitals in the nation will participate in the project.Palmerton will join in the project as part of the research being done at Temple University Hospital, which recently became the second Philadelphia institution to certify Palmerton as a satellite rehabilitation site for patients participating in a nationwide pulmonary research project.
