Ribbon cutting set at Penn Forest park

A commemorative ribbon cutting will take place at the new Penn Forest Township Recreation Park on Route 903, located near Hatchery Road, Jim Thorpe at 10 a.m. Sept. 19.The event is hosted by the township Board and Park Advisory Committee.The public is invited to share in the festivities, which will include the ribbon cutting, unveiling of the new sign, and exhibition soccer game, walking the park path, and playing in the park playground.The event will be held rain or shine.
