Carbon County Court - ARD program
Carbon County President Judge Roger N. Nanovic on Friday admitted 10 people to the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program. If they successfully complete the program for first-time offenders, their records can be expunged. If they fail to complete it, they will again face trial. Admission into the program does not mean they have pleaded guilty to the charges against them.
The defendants pay programs costs and court fees.Catherine Veronica Hayes, 51, of Lake Harmony: False reports to law enforcement. Hayes was charged by Kidder Township police after a domestic incident on April 29 at 1338 Birch St., Lake Harmony Estates. She had falsely accused her boyfriend of hurting her. Nanovic placed Hayes in the ARD program for six months, ordered her to pay $450 toward the cost of the program and to undergo a mental health evaluation.Carrie L. Wyant, 50, of Easton: Hindering apprehension. Wyant was charged by state police at Lehighton after an incident on Blue Mountain Ski Area in Lower Towamensing Township on March 15. Nanovic placed Wyant in the ARD program for one year, and ordered her to pay $650 toward the cost of the program.Jacob Richard Anthony, 19, of Palmerton: Possession of a small amount of marijuana. He was charged by state police at Lehighton after a vehicle stop on Lower Smith Gap Road, Lower Towamensing Township, in Oct. 11, 2014. Nanovic placed Anthony in the ARD program for six months, ordered him to pay $650 toward the cost of the program and to perform 25 hours of community service. He also was ordered to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation.Driving under the influence of a controlled substance:Justin Lee Gombert, 30, of Lehighton: Gombert was charged by state police at Lehighton after a vehicle stop on Bridge Street in Weissport on May 24, 2014. Nanovic placed Gombert in the ARD program for one year, ordered him to pay $650 toward the cost of the program and surrender his license for 60 days.Lucas Kaizer Miller, 18, of Morton, Delaware County: Miller was charged by state police at Lehighton after a vehicle stop on Long Run Road, Franklin Township on Nov. 30, 2014. Nanovic placed Miller in the ARD program for one year, ordered him to pay $600 toward the cost of the program, and surrender his license for 90 days.Dylan John Dotter, 19, of Palmerton: Dotter was charged by state police at Lehighton after a vehicle stop on Third Street in Lehighton on April 5. Nanovic placed Dotter in the ARD program for one year, ordered him to pay $600 toward the cost of the program, surrender his license for 90 days, and complete Alcohol Highway Safety School.Skyler Scott Rosenberry, 20, of Lehighton: Rosenberry was charged by state police at Lehighton after a vehicle stop on Route 209 in Towamensing Township on March 9. Nanovic placed Rosenberry in the ARD program for one year, ordered her to pay $600 toward the cost of the program, surrender his license for 90 days, and complete Alcohol Highway Safety School.Driving under the influence of alcohol:Nancy Jean Zsilavecz, 62, of Bethlehem: Charged by Jim Thorpe police with a blood alcohol content of 0.15 after a vehicle stop on Route 903 on Jan. 18. Nanovic placed Zsilavecz in the ARD program for one year, ordered her to pay $500 toward the cost of the program and suspended her license for 60 days.Harry Jacob Lutz, 65, of Palmerton: Charged by Palmerton police with a blood alcohol content of 0.11 after a vehicle stop on Mauch Chunk Road on Feb. 5. Nanovic placed Lutz in the ARD program for one year, ordered him to pay $500 toward the cost of the program, surrender his license for 30 days, and complete Alcohol Highway Safety School.Penny Jo Zimmerman, 44, of Lehighton: Charged by state police at Lehighton with a blood alcohol content of 0.16 after a vehicle stop on Route 248 in Parryville on Feb. 22. Nanovic placed Zimmerman in the ARD program for one year, ordered her to pay $550 toward the cost of the program and surrender her license for 60 days.
