Route 443 in West Penn township is closed after a trailer disconnected from the truck tractor pulling it, overturning spilling its entire contents of municipal residual waste along the roadway and the lawn of a home. The incident occurred just after 6 a.m. just west of the intersection with Spring road. The trailer snapped off a P.P. & L. Utility pole taking down live electrical lines. West Penn police are investigating the incident.
