The Palmerton Area Library (402 Delaware Ave. Palmerton) will be offering computer classes for adults this fall.
The program will be taught as a step-by-step, hands-on approach from start-up to shutdown.Join the classes to learn the ins and outs of personal computers using simplified terms, examples, pictures and videos in easy-to-understand English.If you are a beginner, sign up for Session 1: Intro to Computers and starts Sept. 17.Session 2 will be Intro to the Internet and Email. In this class you will learn how to use the Internet, types of Internet connections and service providers.Perform activities using mouse controls, scroll bars, hyperlinks and the address bar so you can go directly to the page you need without getting lost on the Web. Learn how to send, receive, save and print email and attachments.Session 3 is Microsoft Office Word and Microsoft Office Excel. Learn how to create, edit, revise and format a document. Work with spell check, the dictionary, help menu and clipart. Learn how to make labels, work with tables, charts and spreadsheets.All of the classes meet on Thursdays from 5-7 p.m. at the library.Call to reserve your spot early since class size is limited.Contact the library at 610-826-3424 for more information.
