A Schuylkill County man was jailed on Sunday for pointing a loaded pistol at his mother and threatening to kill her.
State police at Frackville said the incident occurred at 65 High Road, in Park Place, Mahanoy Township.About 3:20 p.m. troopers were dispatched to the residence for a report of a domestic dispute. On scene troopers learned that James R. Morgans, 24, threatened to kill his mother, Sheila C. Mullen, 58.Troopers said they seized a pistol from Morgans and placed him under arrest. He was charged with terroristic threats and related offenses.He was arraigned before on-call District Judge David Plachko, of Port Carbon, and committed to the county prison after failing to post $25,000 straight cash bail. Mullen was not injured in the incident.The investigation into the incident is continuing, troopers added.
