A stray dog was found Saturday on Mahoning Heights Road in Lehighton. Mahoning Township Police Department said a resident kept the dog overnight, and it was taken to the Carbon County Animal Shelter by police on Sunday. Police are asking anyone who is able to identify the owner to call the shelter at 570-325-4828.
