Pleas entered in Schuylkill court

A Tamaqua man faces up to 23 months in jail on drug charges.

Derek Hunsicker, 26, of Tamaqua, pleaded guilty in Schuylkill County court to conspiracy and delivery of a controlled substance. President Judge William Baldwin sentenced him to six to 23 months in jail. Hunsicker was also ordered to pay court costs and fees. Baldwin gave him credit for the 23 weeks he has already served, from Jan. 15 through June 17.Hunsicker was charged by Tamaqua police as a result of an incident on Sept. 10, 2014.Monica Russup, 49, of Tamaqua, pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia. She was sentenced by Judge John Domalakes to 121 days to 12 months in jail, with credit for the 121 days she's already served.Russup also must pay court costs and fees, and undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with any recommended treatment.Russup was charged by Coaldale police as a result of an incident on Aug. 7, 2014.In a separate case, she was sentenced to six months probation on possession of drug paraphernalia. A charge of possession was dropped. In that case, she was charged by Tamaqua police on Feb. 14.Amanda Welker, 27, of Tamaqua, pleaded guilty to theft by unlawful taking. A charge of receiving stolen property was dropped. Domalakes sentenced Welker to 90 days to 11 months in jail, with credit for the 90 days she has already served.Welker also was ordered to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with any recommended treatment, and stay away from Tommy's Sub Shop in Tamaqua.Welker was charged by Tamaqua police after an incident on Feb. 12.She also pleaded guilty to criminal trespass stemming from an incident on Nov. 24, 2014. Domalakes imposed the same penalties in that case. Charges of defiant trespass, criminal attempt to commit theft by unlawful taking, and possession of drug paraphernalia were dropped.In other court rulings:Noelle Parisi, 30, of Tamaqua, pleaded guilty to delivery of a controlled substance. Charges of possession with intent to deliver, criminal use of a communication facility and possession of a controlled substance were dropped during negotiations.Baldwin ordered a presentence investigation before he imposes punishment.Edward A. Moyer, 34, of Coaldale, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. Baldwin sentenced him to 72 hours to six months in jail and fined him $1,000.Moyer also must pay court costs and fees, and submit to random urine screens.Moyer was charged by Tamaqua police as a result of an incident on Oct. 21, 2010.Edward Rivera Jr., 30, of Tamaqua, pleaded guilty to conspiracy and theft by deception. He was sentenced by Baldwin to 18 months of probation, and to repay Walmart $93.52.Rivera was charged by Rush Township police on Oct. 17, 2014.Carly Fairchild, 21, of Coaldale, pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia and was sentenced by Domalakes to 12 months of probation. She was charged by Coaldale police on Oct. 14, 2014.Anthony Morales, 22, of Brooklyn, New York, pleaded guilty to criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. He was sentenced by Domalakes to 12 months of probation, and to pay $3,294 in restitution to Stuart-Lippman Associates, and $100 to Lucas Arndt.Morales was charged by Rush Township police on Aug. 7, 2013.In other rulings, Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin dissolved a bench warrant against Jenny Haydt, 23, of Coaldale. He reinstated $10,000 unsecured bail, and ordered Haydt to live with her mother, and not relocated without the court's permission. Haydt also has to pay a $189 bench warrant fee.Haydt was charged by Coaldale police on Feb. 24, 2014, with endangering the welfare of children and reckless endangerment.
