Carbon County's retirement fund is continuing to perform well, officials report.

During the monthly meeting of the county retirement board on Thursday, Robert Crampsie, county controller and secretary to the retirement board, announced that the retirement portfolio value as of May 31 was $75,525,854.Crampsie pointed out that the fund was up about $500,000 for the month.The retirement fund is utilized by county retirees.Last month, Carbon paid out a total of $339,381 in benefits.
