A Lehighton man pleaded guilty in Carbon County court on Thursday to fleeing police, crashing his motorcycle, then fleeing on foot into a nearby residence.
Robert Adam Miller, 52, pleaded to one count each of fleeing or attempting to elude police and driving under suspension-habitual offender before Judge Steven R. Serfass.Miller was arrested on May 12 by Lehighton police. He was seen riding his bike along S. First Street and passing other vehicles erratically and causing safety concerns.Police attempted to stop him but he fled, leading officers on a chase along various streets in the borough. He eventually crashed the bike and ran off, entering a home in the area of the 1200 block of Market Street. Police found him in the home and took him into custody.A burglary charge was dropped in a plea bargain.Serfass deferred sentencing to a later date.
