Accused killer said victim reminded him of children's mother

Anthony Heath was "angry" after he felt Angela Steigerwalt was back pedaling on her promise to take him to a child custody hearing, Trooper Raymond judge said.

"He killed her because he was angry. He said it was not an accident," Judge said.

"When it comes to his children, another kind of angry comes out, " Judge quoted Heath as saying.

Heath told Judge he "sees a lot of (his children's' mother, Amanda Johnson, in Angela Steigerwalt, " Judge said.

"It was probably really Amanda Johnson he wanted to harm that night," he said.

Day 3 of the homicide trial wrapped up this afternoon. Heath is accused of killing Angela Steigerwalt, 35, of Tamaqua on Feb. 1, 2014.

The trial will resume Monday morning.
