Park concert

Sunday the group Who Knows will perform at 7 p.m. in Palmerton Borough park. This week's concert is sponsored by Horsehead Community Development Fund.In the event of inclement weather, the Bandstand Committee reserves the right to cancel the concert.On June 28 the Allentown Band will perform. Bring your own lawn chair.Free movie in the parkThe Concourse Club of Palmerton is celebrating its 100th anniversary and would like to invite the entire community to the party. Come enjoy a free viewing of "The Wizard of Oz" on a giant inflatable screen at 8:30 p.m. Saturday in Palmerton Borough Park. The rain date is June 24.Bring along a blanket or lawn chair to sit on, as well as snacks and drinks to enjoy. All park rules apply, including no pets, smoking or alcohol.Sunday school picnicJerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 500 Church Drive, (Trachsville) Palmerton, will hold its Sunday School Picnic on June 27. The picnic starts at noon. The service with guest speaker, the Rev. David Hess starts at 2 p.m.There will be afternoon activities for children and an evening cake walk for all ages.Nevada's Loft, featuring Frank and Resa Hall, Donna Parsons, and Roger Borger, will perform at 3:30 p.m. The Lehighton Band will play from 6 p.m. to closing.Rain date is June 28.Library summer programAt 10:30 a.m. Friday the Palmerton Area Library summer program begins in the upstairs gallery.
