Heath Trial Day 2: Family breaks down as suspect's letter is read

The Heath homicide trial took an emotional twist this morning as Kelly Sue Moseng, Anthony Darrell Heath's foster care social worker, read aloud a portion of a three-page letter Heath sent to Gary Steigerwalt in April 2014.

Moseng has known him for 21, and she identified the writing style of the man who is accused on killing Steigerwalt's wife Angela last February.

"The night of Angela's death was the worst day of my life...I put down the cord more than once, but I kept picking it up again."

Angela's family members burst into sobs of grief as she read the excerpt.

Steigerwalt testified that the letter was "a slap in the face."
