In anticipation of Lehighton's Sesquicentennial next year, the Times News has agreed to team up with the Lehighton 150th Anniversary Celebration Committee.

Tidbits of Lehighton history will appear in the Times News from June 22-26,the days leading up to the celebration committee's "The History of Lehighton, an Evening with Mr. Mike Ebbert andMr. Gordon Ripkey," which will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. June 27, at thePfc. Clyde R. Houser Jr. Bldg./Borough Annex.People who attend the June 27 event will be given the opportunity to answer a questionnaire that reflects the historical information provided in the Times News, to win prizes.
