Residents of Mrs. Bush's Personal Care Homes visit Pleasant Valley Elementary School throughout the school year. The residents and students get to bond through learning, reading and activities,
bridging the generational gap. Recently the personal care home donated a book, "Miss Rumphius," to the school's library. The book is about a child who wants to grow up to live on the coast, but her grandfather says first she has to do something to make the world beautiful. The young girl plants flowers wherever she goesto beautify the world and eventually she gets to live on the coast. Residents of Mrs. Bush's PCH hope that the students they meet and who read this book will continue to make the world a beautiful place.
