Defendants sentenced in drug cases

Defendants who entered pleas in pending drug-related cases in Carbon County on Thursday included:

Justin Guth, 30, of Jim Thorpe, pleaded to one count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance-heroin.He was arrested on Dec. 20, 2013, in the area of 12 W. 11th St., Jim Thorpe by agents of the state attorney general's office.Judge Steven R. Serfass deferred sentencing to a later date.Tylar Allen Romanishan, 20, of Lehighton, pleaded to one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arrested on Feb. 5 by Palmerton police in the 600 block of Mauch Chunk Road following a traffic stop. He was a passenger in the vehicle.Serfass placed him on probation for a year and ordered he render 50 hours of community service, get a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow any recommendations for treatment, pay court costs of about $1,000, and pay a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation.
