Access Services' Second Hand Treasures Thrift Store, located at 217 S. Center St., Tamaqua will close its doors on May 15.

"In an effort to accommodate and plan for future Access Services programs in the Tamaqua community, the Second Hand Treasures Thrift Store will be closing on Friday at 3:30 p.m.," a statement released by Access Services said."On behalf of the thrift store team, and Access Services, we thank you for your continued support and patronage. It has been a pleasure serving you."The thrift store will be open from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. until Friday and offer a 50 percent discount on all items in the store.Second Hand Treasures will no longer be accepting donations.Access Services is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization with a regional office in Orwigsburg that serves over 500 people in the local community per month.For over 30 years, Access Services has been developing innovative ways to provide support services for individuals with developmental disabilities and special needs throughout Pennsylvania.The organization operates in 11 counties including Berks, Bucks, Carbon-Monroe-Pike, Chester, Delaware, Lehigh, Montgomery, Northampton and Schuylkill.
