Further tests needed in death investigation

Further tests have been ordered in the investigation into the death of a Lehighton woman.

The Lehigh County coroner's office said an autopsy on the body of Pamela Zackus, 39, of 226 Carbon St., was conducted Monday morning and were inconclusive. Coroner Scott M. Grim said the cause of death is now pending toxicology test results.Zackus was pronounced dead on Sunday at 8:45 a.m. at 8729 Evergreen Circle in Upper Macungie Township. The investigation into the death is being conducted by the township police with assistance from the coroner's office and the district attorney's office.
