Nine students from Our Lady of the Angels Academy in Lansford were recently named Students of the Month for March.
They were selected because they exhibited the virtue of honesty.The following are quotes from each student.Megan O'Brien (kindergarten): "I tell the truth."Michael Strucko (first grade): "I was honest and I didn't lie."Connor Rehnert (second grade): "I always try to tell the truth even when I might get in trouble. Being honest is the right thing to do."Riley McArdle (third grade): "I've shown honesty to my teacher and classmates, even when it's not easy.We learned the importance of telling the truth when we received First Penance this year."Rebecca-Lynn Graham (fourth grade): "I got Student of the Month because I was honest."Rilan Gombert (fifth grade): "I am always honest in every situation. I believe in being reliable for my family and friends."Ava Kosciolek (sixth grade): "My teacher can ask me anything and I don't make up lies. I also don't make up lies about my friends."Allison Slakoper (seventh grade): "I try to always be truthful and sincere. I tell the truth even when it is hard to do."Antonina Zeleniak (eighth grade): "I am an honest person. Quite often I speak my mind.I do not withhold the truth. Another good quality that I possess is that I admit when I am wrong or uncertain so that I may receive help."
