Northern Lehigh School District will accept bids for the boiler system and closed circuit cooling tower replacement at one of its elementary buildings.

The district will accept bids until 1 p.m. May 7 for the work at Peters Elementary.The work will consist of the replacement of the existing boilers and cooling tower systems with new, as well as modifications to the associated piping, breeching, ATC and electrical systems.Greg Derr, director of support services and transportation, said the two boilers and the cooling tower are over 20 years old and therefore, at the end of their life cycle.The project will be paid from out of the 2015-16 maintenance repair budget.
