A Blakeslee man admitted to assaulting another man outside a Carbon County bar and is facing a big restitution bill.

He entered a guilty plea before Judge Roger N. Nanovic II on Monday.Thomas Wise, 28, pleaded guilty to one count of simple assault.The incident occurred on Aug. 19, 2011, outside a bar at routes 903 and 534 in Penn Forest Township.State police at Fern Ridge responded to the area for a reported altercation. On scene officers found Tyler Schick with head wounds. Troopers were told Wise struck Shick with a bottle.Schick was taken to the Geisinger-Wyoming Medical Center in Plains Township.Wise, who is an inmate in the county prison, was told he is facing a big restitution bill at the time of sentencing for medical expenses incurred by Schick.Sentencing was deferred.
