Defendants charged with selling drugs to confidential informant

Defendants in pending drug cases entered guilty pleas in Carbon County court on Monday before President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II.

Sara Jane Fink, 32, and Travis Noel Everett, 37, of Weissport, were charged by the state police at Hazleton vice unit with selling marijuana to a confidential informant on several occasions at their residence in Weissport.The sales occurred in October and November 2014, and in January. On Jan. 15 troopers executed a search warrant at the residence and found 25 grams of marijuana along with drug paraphernalia items.In a plea bargain, Everett pleaded to two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, and Fink pleaded to one count each of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Drug counts of manufacture, delivery or possession of a controlled substance and possession were dropped in a plea bargain.Fink was placed on probation for a year on each count, running concurrently, and ordered to get a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow any recommendations for treatment. Everett was placed on probation for a year on each count, with the terms running consecutively, and also ordered to get a D&A evaluation.
