St. Luke's financial officer nominated for leadership award

Thomas P. Lichtenwalner, chief financial officer at St. Luke's University Health Network, has been nominated for the CFO Leadership Award given by CFO Studio, an online trade group promoting New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut area companies that employ CFOs.

Lichtenwalner is one of seven nominees for the Leadership Award. There are 45 total nominees in 11 categories.The Leadership Award recognizes "the CFO who has exhibited great leadership skill and accomplishment in his / her role, particularly during a period of exceptional growth of the company and /or growth of the finance role in support of the organization," according to the CFO Studio website.Robert L. Wax, St. Luke's senior vice president and general counsel nominated Lichtenwalner."Over the past 10 years, Tom has handled multiple, complex financings, managed an incredibly aggressive capital budget and has grown personally together with the Network," Wax said."At the same time, he's remained a truly wonderful person dedicated to his community and family. I'd take him over any other CFO who I've encountered in health care."The award ceremony plus a day full of panel discussions and presentations will be held 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. May 12 at MetLife (Giant) Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Dinner will be served on the 50-yard line, weather permitting.
