William Fritz, 50, former Tamaqua tax collector, was sentenced to a long probation term by Schuylkill County Judge Wilbur Rubright for failing to turn over more than $200,000 in tax monies he collected for the year 1986.

Fritz last December pleaded guilty to three counts of theft by unlawful taking and theft by failure to make required disposition or funds.He was sentenced to serve 11 to 22 months in the Schuylkill County Prison but was granted immediate parole and given an additional sentence of serving five years' probation under state supervision.
