Pocono Medical Center and the Children's Hospital of Lehigh Valley Hospital recently announced a $20,000 commitment and partnership with the Monroe County Community Safety Program which has been serving the community for nearly 27 years.
The new partnership between PMC and the Children's Hospital at LVH with the Monroe County Safety Program will serve to enhance the program's already robust services by providing further programmatic support and producing more educational materials for the community. Since the Monroe County Safety Program's inception, thousands of children have been secured safely in car seats, families have received instruction on how to properly install the seats in their vehicles and received education about the importance of distracted driving and accident prevention. The Children's Hospital at LVH's Driving Simulators will be deployed throughout the year at Monroe County schools, activities and events to help educate families and children on the importance of safe and not distracted driving.People interested in learning more about the Monroe County Community Safety Program can visit
