Kenneth Hibbler, 39, of Tamaqua, was placed on probation by Judge Steven R. Serfass for 24 months on a charge of receiving stolen property.
He was arrested for an incident on Jan. 30, 2013, at the First National Pharmacy in Lehighton. Hibbler went to the pharmacy to have a prescription for 180 oxycodone pills filled.He returned to pick up the prescription but was told to wait as the pharmacist was speaking with the doctor who wrote the prescription. Police said Hibbler heard that the doctor was canceling the prescription. At that point he grabbed the prescription bottle and fled the store. He was later located and charged.Serfass also ordered Hibbler to make restitution to the store for $49.50, get a drug and alcohol evaluation, zero tolerance for D&A use, pay court costs of about $1,000, pay a $50 monthly supervision fee while on probation, and render 100 hours of community service.
