A body found along a Jim Thorpe section of the D&L Trail Monday morning has been ruled a suicide.

County Coroner Bruce Nalesnik said this morning that his official ruling in the case was an apparent suicide.Jim Thorpe Police Chief Joseph Schatz said reports came in just after 11 a.m., saying that the caller, who was hiking the trail at the time, had found a body along the trail.Police, as well as Jim Thorpe Fire Department and the coroner's officer, responded to the scene, where they found the body of a Lehighton man, who had committed suicide by apparent hanging, Schatz said.
