The Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for its 52nd Annual Joseph M. Plasko Citizenship Award to be presented at the Chamber's 65th Annual Community Dinner on April 22.

This prestigious award honors one Greater Tamaqua Area resident for voluntary contributions to the community over many years.The award was rededicated to Joseph M. Plasko in 2011 in honor of his years of volunteer service.Plasko passed away suddenly in March 2011.He had served as president of the Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce for many years and was dedicated to serving his community in many areas.The public is invited to submit a nomination for this award.A committee consisting of representatives from several local organizations, as well as the chamber, will make the final selection based on the nominees' qualifications.Nominations can be directed to Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce, 114 W.
