Small plane goes off runway in Allentown, no injuries reported

ALLENTOWN (AP) - Officials say a small plane ran off the runway at an eastern Pennsylvania airport and into a fence, but no one was injured.

Emergency crews responded to Queen City Airport in Allentown just before 1 p.m. Monday.

Capt. John Christopher of the city fire department said the plane had difficulties while landing and went off the runway and through a grassy area. It stopped with its nose against a fence.

Christopher said a pilot and a passenger were on board but neither was hurt. He said the plane had some minor damage but its fuel tank was undamaged.

Christopher said the airport continued to operate as normal with no changes to air traffic.
