The Rev. Francis Baransky of Saint Joseph Church in Jim Thorpe washes the feet of Rita Mroz during the Holy Thursday service as Deacon Jack Mroz holds a towel. The Washing of the Feet celebrates the Last Supper of Jesus, before which he washed the feet of his 12 disciples. Today area churches are observing Good Friday and on Sunday Christians will

celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Passover also begins tonight. For information, see Page 10.
