State police at Frackville reported on an attempted robbery of a Schuylkill County store that occurred on Tuesday.

Troopers said someone entered the New Ringgold Market, located at 103 Hughes St., about 9 p.m. and attacked a clerk, while brandishing a gun. An altercation ensued and the suspect ran out of the building.Multiple units of the Frackville barracks responded to the store and conducted a search of the area but didn't locate him. Anyone with information is asked to call troopers at 570-874-5300.
