A subdivision for an existing property in Lehighton has been approved.

That came after the borough's zoning hearing board on Thursday unanimously agreed to grant an application for the subdivision of the existing property on North Third Street into two lots, with a single family dwelling on each.Zoning hearing board Chairman Randall Semmel said the hearing was brief, and that there was no public opposition to the plan."There are quite a few properties in town that haven't been split," Semmel said. "So, this is one of them."
