No injuries occurred after a vehicle struck a First Student bus in Palmerton Wednesday afternoon.

Borough Police Chief Randy Smith said the incident happened at 2:42 p.m. at Third Street and Delaware Avenue.Smith said the bus, operated by Roland Rappe, 61, of Bath, was turning left onto Third Street from Delaware Avenue, when it was struck in the rear by a vehicle operated by Aaron Papay, 22, of Palmerton.There were three students from St. John Neumann Regional School on the bus at the time of the incident, Smith said.Papay's vehicle suffered disabling damage, Smith said.Also assisting at the scene were the Palmerton Fire Department and Palmerton Community Ambulance, he said.
