Roadways becoming slick throughout the region

The heavy, wet snowfall is making roads in our region extremely hazardous to travel, and has caused numerous crashes.

Police are reporting a multiple-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 westbound at mile marker 275.2. A tractor-trailer has rolled over. Many cars and a bus are involved.

A crash is reported at Hill Road and Route 873 in Washington Township, Lehigh County.

Route 93 north of Nesquehoning is being shut down because of crashes.

Interstate 81 is being shut down at mile marker 138.

Kattners Mountain (Route 903) is shut down from the bottom because of numerous crashes.

West Penn Township police are investigating this spinout along Route 309 just north of South Tamaqua.

A rollover crash was reported on Route 903 in Penn Forest Township, and I81 in Schuylkill County was shut down at about 11:45 a.m. due to treacherous conditions.
